WORKING FROM NATURE WITH JADE WOODHOUSE

This book as with my learning was done in nature. I wrote this book sitting on my wooden benches in the food forests of our gardens. One bench my winter resting and relaxing spot, facing north, full low winter sun and warmth, with a heavy dense planting behind as a heat bank. The other bench my cooling rest, my energizer and enlivening sit located in Spring, Summer shade with lush cooling ground cover and open, light weight understorey shrubs, canes and grasses circulating breezes and energy flows. All fruit can be plucked an arms length away. My forests are my food and my sanctuary, and they are my teacher. Ever changing from bare and barren to, vegetative fertile and productive.

This book like my others has come about from my education courses and the wanting to help people to learn how to create a sustainable self-reliant lifestyle for them, as we have.

The book is a good solid start for a beginner or a basic easy to follow start for the already in tuned Permaculture Student or interested Biodynamic hobby gardener. It has been written simply for ease of understanding, yet it covers the important need to know and consider issues. I offer you implemented successful ideas that Paul and I have used. We are sustainable gardeners and we strive to demonstrate educate and enforce in the learner the need for small-scale organic sustainable gardening methods for home food production. This is the gardening method of the future and for a future.

I offer our experience, our journey and my education in an affordable, user-friendly book as an aid to your own doing and self-discovery. The book is written in the Sub-tropics yet our gardens; the forests are micro-climated to grow temperate, sub-tropical and tropical foods. I have not written “how to GROW” a specific fruit tree, ie, Paw Paw as I do not believe this is possible (as each garden is specific to the plants individual requirements) nor would I want to write a generalization of what each specific fruit tree may require, as this would inhibit your own study and observation. You to must learn on your journey and this is your reconnecting with nature and the universe.

I am still learning as you are.

My book like our gardens are to inspirer you and to motivate you. The gardens and the book is proof that the systems and methods are working.

We must use easy low maintenance methods that are low resource using and self maintaining. Growing towards a future of sustainability.

Hint!!!! Always plant your support plants first.
Don’t plant a fruit tree, plant a forest. You can do it in pots or in an urban yard, a small block or acreage. Plant your future today.
Grow for clean air, pure water and biological soil.

Food Forest Book “Fruit” Back!!!!
I brought this book from Jade at a Fair, as I was unable to attend her courses, due to the long distance of travel. I highly recommend it as a tool for successful low maintenance, easy to implement solutions to a problem orchard. The book has change my opinion to fruit growing and tree / soil care.
